Shift lights

Do the shift lights on the M-HUD work? The manual says there should be an option to turn them on, but I can't seem to find it.

I lieu of sounding stupid, I have done that and went through the menus many times. In M2 (or M1) programming, I can select either standard or M view. Once done, I see the M HUD (curved gauge), however, the shift lights are just empty squares. I have tried to be in D/S mode and the effect is same as auto mode. So is this function enabled after the 1200 mile service, because I do not se anywhere any setting to select this function.

Please advise. Thx

Got to be pretty far up the Rev range, if sticking to pre 1200 mile service limit probably won't see them.

Do the 6mt with no hud options also have shift lights in the tach?

Same here. I have a 6MT, still under 1200miles, and the Mview doesn't show the shift lights.

In the tach there's a little "up" arrow that is displayed right next (left of) the larger numeral indicating your current gear.

I have DCT and as someone else mentioned you have to climb way up there in the revs to get them to come on.

Mine are also not working. I have a dct with 1200 mile service done. Anyone get them to work? I'm thinking the tech didn't reset the car correctly. I can't get launch control to work either. I'm waiting for a call back from my service advisor.

Have you revved to near max? Try that and see if they work. It is good practice to occasionally Rev beyond the running in limit so long as car not thrashed, much better than letting car drag stutter along in too high a gear.

The problem is you're probably expecting them to light up much sooner than they're going to.

From my experience they only start to light up when you're maybe 500rpm from having to shift, and rapidly go across the gauge.

I just tried again today and they are working. You guys were right. I wasn't revving it high enough.
User error... who would have thought. Haha

Thanks everyone.
