Follow-up to my car being attacked by turkeys

Hey everyone I figured I would follow up to my previous thread about my 335 being attacked by turkeys. As you will be able to see in the pictures it was more than turkey scratches that had me worried that things would need wet sanded and/or repainted. I knew it needed some work when I got it, but I didn't realize quite how much until some high power lights were brought in to the equation. Fortunately a guy in my area - Zach @ Attention to Detailing was able to do some great work and get it looking much better. The scratches that were left by the turkeys almost completely gone now as well as most imperfections from poor previous care.

Here is a thread he posted with some details of his process and much better pictures than I have:http://properimage.net/showthread.php?t=754

I believe the base was about $600 but I added extra paint correction so in total it was $850

That is about right and a good deal. I'm in SoCal and it cost 750 base the paint correction was another 300.00. Your results were obviously worth it! Car looks like a different vehicle! Now, protect that investment and spend a little more about 400.00 on nanoGuard (have Attention to Detailing do it for you) and you can protect that from happening again and won't have to wash it as much either - or wax it. Think is lasts for a year - might be a little less. Good investment. Most people through money into the engine and performance but forget about just how beautiful these cars are when kept looking good.

I don't work for these guys - just makes sense once you start putting coin into the looks of the car to protect the detail as much as possible and from what I have seen and been told by the guy who details my car - the nano is worth it.

Well he did put a ceramic coating - CQuartz UK on it, it sounds like it may be something similar.

Not familiar with that but they sound the same. Not sure what the exact difference would be. Probably in the application and the additional coating layers in microns that is added to the surface of the paint. Still - with this included that is an excellent deal to restore your ride! Keep that detailer!

Not to derail the thread but turkey's don't cause those kind of circular swirls.

Keep in mind I'm not turkey expert.

Well the cost varies depending on the service level you choose and the size of the vehicle. I chose one of the more extensive options due to the work that needed done. After the wash/decon and paint correction he also applied the ceramic coating. For the time that was put in to the car, the price is definitely fair.

Thanks everyone I am very happy with the results.

Yes. I haven't gotten around to putting anything else on it. Soon enough there will be snow on the ground so it isn't one of my most pressing issues haha.
