The first magazine who does a comprehensive shootout between the E92 M3 and M4 with all drag strip events , track battle and high quality dyno runs will sell a lot magazines... Looks like quite a spanking in the first three gears as seen in this video. No surprise to anyone who has driven these two though.

Let's see: lighter weight (although not much), more HP (although only 11 more), and a shit load more torque and a much more usable power band?
Was there really any question or doubt in anyone's mind? Yes, yes, I get it that the engine is bespoke and sounds great. |

It isn't really a question which is faster. As more people take delivery it will become more obvious and we won't even need to see videos like the one posted above.
I am a former e93 owner and yes - it was a great car no doubt I still miss it many days. But the f82 is so much faster and so much more powerful. Once you have spent time driving both it becomes very obvious. Both are great cars but when it comes to the performance the f80/82 is still an enormous upgrade. |

Sounds like camera car is a 6MT, not DCT. Curious what trans the M4 had.

I've had the GTS DCT software for about a year which shifts at the nano-second level so I guess the 80ms in say D2 or D3 sounds very slow to me now

Is that an F8x on the right in the third race (hard to discern - my video looks dark too) - whatever it is, looked like the E92 pretty much kept up with it (clearly M4 on left faster in all three vids).
I am also a current E93 owner - yes - I will miss it too (only have it about another 2 weeks) - but that F8x step up in performance will be fun! |

That e9x sounds like crap in that video.
That video really tells you nothing by the way. Two of the races have the f80 starting off already accelerating. We have no idea about the e9x launch either. I say this and I'm buying an f80 this week |

Don't need a video to tell me which one is faster as I walked two e92s so far on the toll road a week ago and they had a one car lead to start.
