Gas
I'm just wondering, what are you guys using for gas for your M?
I've been using Esso 91 for my E46, but i'm thinking because it's a turbo, maybe I should start considering Petro's 94 for the M4. Esso has better reward program than Petro though IMO lol. Thoughts? |

Oh forgot to mention - I also get discounts on gas purchases as a result of shopping at Sobeys. So the more food I buy, the greater the discount per liter of gas

BMW recommends 93. I've got the P3Car Gauge installed which shows me ignition timing live. Timing retards more with 91 versus 94 from Petro under WOT. Ethanol is not an issue with this modern engines. But you will get more more out of 94.

Good to know. I will have to try 94 and see if I can feel a difference.

- Ethanol laced gasoline, depending upon the percentage, provides lower mpg - Ethanol will readily dissolve water so any moisture in the gas could become an issue And finally, there's the philosphical objections that I have to the forced use of ethanol blended gasoline |

I run 94 in Europe I found 98! The car loves it even on the dyno. |

I've been using Petro 94 for my
first two tanks but I don't really have a reference for 91 octane. At 3 cents a litre difference, hard to debate about an increase of ~$1.50 per tank. |

No pics, but looks the same as the F30 ones on the P3Car website. It's the same gauge. F30 uses digital boost control as well. So no difference.
