HK EQ settings

Does anyone have a decent setup for the HK EQ settings? I for the life of me cannot make this thing sound good... B&O in the M5 spoiled me :/

What sounds good to one person may not sound great at all to another! Hence, hoffa3 suggesting to turn on Logic7. I think Logic7 makes music sound very artificial (not bad, just artificial), while one of my coworkers thinks that music sounds like garbage without it.

When looking at an EQ like that, the way I always set it up is play music that you normally listen to and go into the EQ. From there, frequency by frequency, drop it to zero for a second or two, max it out for a second or two, then without looking at the iDrive display, move it around to where you think that frequency sounds best. That way you're identifying what kind of noise that exact frequency makes and how it contributes to the music as you hear it, then moving it to where it sounds good without knowing where along the line that point is.

Logic7 makes my music sound worse. HK system by default is too tinny/high freq oriented. The settings I posted work best for me and I'm very pleased. Try it out.

I agree. Though it isn't a bad system. I'd say it wouldn't hurt to add perhaps a 10inch sub in the back, which is more than likely what I am going with. Nothing crazy, or even visibly noticeable really. Just a little extra junk in the trunk never hurt.
