Quick question re M Performance Shift Knob/Brake Handle
I thought it was time for me to to join as I'm about to order my 2015 M235i, and it looks like this is a great place to hang out - people seem really helpful around here.
I've made my major choices:
Which leaves me with just one more question - it looks like the MP Shift Knob shortens the throw a bit, and people apparently like the way it feels, but... does anyone have it (and the matching brake handle) with the aluminum hexagon interior trim, and if so, does it look alright? Any thoughts? I realize this kind of thing comes down to personal preference, but I'd be willing to take someone's word for it if they said it's horrific. I know the CF interior trim is an option, but I'd prefer not to spend upwards of $1,000 just to match my shift knob. Thanks in advance for your help! Personally I feel it would look out of place with the non matching steering wheel and aluminum trim. Just too much stuff going on. Now if you had the alacantara steering wheel and trim, then it's really nice.

Looks great great with that trim - thanks for the pic. But is that the aluminum hexagon or the brushed aluminum? Sorry, but it's just a little hard to tell. I guess if it's the brushed aluminum, that's a possible choice for me too.
And while I'm replying, have you noticed a difference when you shift, or is it really just a cosmetic thing? |

Brushed Aluminum trim.
I like the alcantara, I am not so sure on the white stitching. The shift knob is an improvement on the stock knob, which I did not like. That said, it is still far too light for my tastes. I like a heavy knob.
