I dealt with Dave Skipworth at Bellevue -- he was good to work with

We bought our E90 335i from BMW of Bellevue. I said "fuck it" and used the Costco program, worth about $1,000 off MSRP. I was fine with that. Richard Hard was our CA, and he was great to work with. I'd buy another BMW from Bellevue.

As for pricing, a $500 or $1000 difference isn't going to make a big difference on a $50,000 car (after taxes.) If that amount of money "breaks" you, then you really need to evaluate if you should be spending that much money on the car to begin with.

I see from your location tag that you are in Renton. Which dealer is going to be easier for you to get to for service, Bellevue, Seattle or Fife? I'm not willing to drive all the way down to Fife for service. Seattle is less convenient than Bellevue for me, since I'm in Bellevue quite often anyway. I've heard that if you buy your car from one dealer then service at another, getting a loaner is near impossible.

The first sales person i spoke with offered the car $500 under MSRP, i know i am spending over 50k for a car, but money is still money. I am going to buy the car, I dont want to spend more money if i dont need do.

Yes, i am in renton. I am a Microsoftie so Bellevue is real convenient for me. Thanks for that tip.

Some people here have said that they've gotten awesome deals at BMW dealership in Yakima. As to BMW, IMHO (based on personal experience) they have the highest prices and the least desire to negotiate in the region.

Agreed. I have been very happy with Seattle BMW. They treat you well after the sale.

Well, as long as we have people like you, places like Bellevue will stay in business. I got my car around 750.00 over ED invoice price from Yakima...... Total savings of $6,223.00....since at the time of my order Bellevue was not even willing to give a discount for ED! They just said "we would not order ED car when they are this hot!

+10000. Another member on this forum....recently canceled his order w/ Bellevue, took back his trade in and went with Hahn (Tiho) in Yakima..... Once again, Tiho pretty much smoked Bellevue's deal and came and picked up my buddy's trade in (07 E92 335) right from his own garage......

As far as servicing the car..... BMW Seattle provides loaners to everyone regardless of where you bought your car and they have a much better service department.....

People like what? People that value their time differently than you? I'm not claiming to rich, or have tons of disposable income, but I do value my time. To me, it isn't worth $500 to drive to Yakima to buy a car. Also, ED wasn't an option for me due to time constraints. And you can't compare an ED deal to a "car on the lot deal."

If you are single, or maybe even married with no kids, and don't have a job that requires quite a bit of travel (I'm on track for 80,000 airmiles in a year, none of it personal), then taking the time travel a ways to save money might be worth it. But with 2 kids and a busy job, I already don't have enough time in a day to do everything I'd like to. That is why each person has to decide what their time is worth.

Of course time is money and Hahn's discounts have always been more than $500 over any of the locals (6-8 cars were purchased by friends from them this year alone)..... I have seen discounts over $2K so far from Tiho for cars off the lot..... $2K is worth a 320 mile drive for me.....

I travel for business as much as you do which even made ED a no brainer..... I used miles for everything.....

All I am saying is their cust service and prices are far superior to locals.... Give them a call before you buy your next car..... If the drive is not convenient....they can ship the car to your door as well.....

Thanks everyone for their input.

I was able to find the car i wanted through Hahn in Yakima, their price was lowest out of all the other local dealers and because i got it in a different county i saved another 1 percent ( $500) on taxes.

Space grey, black interior, premium/sport/comfort/cold weather and some other little things. :-).

The car is amazing.

Did you get the car shipped to you or did you have to catch a ride there? I was wondering how the drive through the pass would be in the winter on the performance tires...

I didnt have the time to go up there so they delivered it to me. Instead of getting a car with 20 miles on it, i got it with 150. Find somone who is flexible enough to be willing to drive when conditions are good. I got my car on a sunday night.
