The spacers don't list the 228/M235 as compatible cars but the specs (5x120, 72.6mm bore) are correct per H&R's website for the car. There was some initial interference from the black plastic cap on the hub but I think that's going to happen with any spacer in 12mm/15mm on this car, another member ran into the same thing with a different brand spacer. I didn't modify the cap like they did though, just tightened the lug bolts and it worked fine.

Yeah, I figured aluminum is aluminum, can't really mess it up unless they are unbalanced but there is no sign of vibration or anything.

I do have some concern about that plastic dust cap though...what's the deal with that? I've never seen it on any other car.

So I didn't feel 100% comfortable with the way I did the first install and how I put the spacer on top of the dust cap. What ended up happening was that the spacer did not sit flush on the face of the wheel hub by just sliding the spacer on, once the wheel was on and torqued down, then the plastic got squeezed and it sat flush, but it kept bothering me in the back of my mind so I went back and redid it.



I removed the dust caps and found they weren't air tight and sealed like I had understood from another thread I read on here. They pop in pretty similarly to wheel caps. With the dust cap removed, the spacers fit perfectly flush against the wheel hub face.





The rear hub does have some benefit of having a dust cover, since it's protecting something but the front is totally useless as there is nothing inside the hub.

Since the caps aren't an actual air tight seal, I felt it was no problem to just install the caps on top of the wheel spacer and then put the wheel spacer on the hub. The rear caps actually fit pretty snug inside the spacer but the front are somewhat loose, so I applied an epoxy to the caps and attached them to the spacers both front and rear.









While in there, I also checked to see if smaller spacers could be installed on the rear of the car but it does in fact seem that 15mm is the smallest because of how far out the hub sticks out.
When the spacer is flush with the hub face, the hub ring is flush with the inner ring of the spacer.

No, I don't plan on lowering it, I think the height is just right.

Oddly I don't like the back really, too aggressive for me in the back but most people seem to like it. I have a couple other sizes on order (5mm and 13mm) and will be putting the 15mm rear up for sale. Keeping the front 12mm though, I think that end looks perfect.

Sorry to revive an older thread but any issues with these amazon spacers and bolts after so many months? Or had you switched it up for any particular reason?
