BMW Advanced Car Eye for F8x?

Does anyone have experience with this camera?
I am looking for an installation manual and wanted to know whether it can be installed in the M4.

Could you explain more about it's functionality i.e. is it meant to be an always on camera recording continuously (eventually overwriting pref video)? Might be nice to have one of the built-in cameras that read speed signs etc. do this automatically and record to the internal media drive - guess it would get a bit complicated with dual functions etc (or not...).
PS: Google translation for this item:
"Full HD camera with a memory to capture critical situations while driving and when parked vehicle from view. : Front camera, optional rear view camera, GPS module, adhesive pad and set of cables for fixed installation, 32 GB Micro SD Card with USB adapter"

There is actually quite a to on this on the web - here is some more info on a Korean site with albeit lousy english translation (http://en.autodiary.kr/also-night-an...-eye-black-box) - talks about options like auto-powering off camera 6 hours after car turned off etc. - install looks all a bit clunky to me - noted also during a quick search that Subaru have a more integrated looking camera setup that is stereoscopic with presumably addl functionality!

Suspect there is already and/or will be far better and more sophisticated solutions in the future than this setup.

Something else occurred to be - I am guessing that the Swiss border patrol guards would rip this out and erase contents - prev poster had his video deleted at a border patrol - Bit like chatting to a guard with Google Glass on yer noggin, just looking for trouble

Since yesterday i keep getting: Please Check Rear Camera over and over... i unpluged the cable, pluged the cable, reset to factory, unplug AC cable, turn off-on, start engine-stop engine...Please check rear camera still there..
First it sees the rear camera is connected, then PLEASE CHECK REAR CAMERA ...
Anyone know where to buy a new cable for rear camera connection ?
