Audio software bug

Hi Guys,

I think I have found a bug in the audio software.

If you set the stereo to play tracks in a random order but then try and advance the track via the steering wheel controls. You actually get the next track based on its alphabetical position rather than a random selection.

To get a randomly selected track you must either use the advance track button on the audio unit or the i-contoller

Anyone else got this problem?

Yea it happens to me occasionally. If I remember correctly it only happens with Bluetooth but I can't confirm that.

Very irritating because cycling songs in the cluster is my favourite feature of idrive...

Same thing happens to me with my iPod.

Can songs loaded to the hard drive be played at random? I can't find the setting. . .

I have raised this with BMW and am awaiting a response on a patch for this.

Bugs may only be fixed if enough people report it, so please contact bmw also

Another bug , maybe. Playing songs from iphone 5S I select a different song on list, check mark goes to that song, correct song starts playing, after about five seconds check mark goes back to first song on list. The correct song keeps playing, wrong song title is displayed. Anyone else notice this ? Iphone playback using y cable

Yeah it did it to me yesterday, but today it was fine. Ghost in the machine i guess. Anyone know how to display songs from an ipod in the order of the album as opposed to alphabetically? Thanks.
