SpeedElement is my preferred shop and have done basically all the work on my car. Great group of people and the staff is really friendly and helpful.

Also, I've gotten walnut blasting done by them before and it was a night and day difference when I got my car back.

Between OP's first post and the quote in the third post, it went from $400 to $450.

Walnut Blasting in LA is $350 for 335's, FYI, at excellent customer service places like Offset Motorwerks. I just wanna help you meet your goal, to provide labor services and maintain competitive prices for everything... especially if I'm moving to NorCal and in need of a new shop.

We have adjusted the price to $400 which is good until the end of August. We want to maintain our goal to provide excellent customer service along with providing competitive pricing for all our guests. If you happen to move to Northern California, swing by the shop. We are happy to show you our facility as well as assist you with all your maintenance and performance needs.

Thank you,
-Jason

Norcal shops upwards of $500 for walnut blasting. I did my due diligence and shopped around for WB, and Speed Element offered the best rate at the amazing workmanship they do. Wish I lived in so cal were modding/maintaining the car is a lot cheaper however we do pay a premium in comparison, and SE does a great job keeping their prices low for their customers.

You can't compare NorCal shops to SoCal shops. That's like apples and oranges. The quantity and saturation of shops down there dwarfs NorCal. Given we have a a good list of shops that provide services for BMW's, I would only trust a couple shops. The list is small enough I can count it on one hand.

Also, I understand you want to keep your special pricing of $350 but honestly you have to pay to play or go buy the parts and do it at home. If you're looking to keep that special price of yours, you'll have to go convince all the shops up here in NorCal that $350 is the price they should be charging for blasting.

I appreciate the advice. The price is standard- not special- albeit for SoCal.

Sounds like I should consider more than just real estate premiums for the area! You learn something new every day...
