Give me break with this "fanboy" crap. BMW has nothing to do with this sh*tbox. Toyota IS f*cking blows, go buy a real Jap car. There are other Jap brands building much more enthusiast minded cars. Toyota can try all they want to infuse an "enthusiast" mentality to their brand, their cars are appliances. When is the F-sport Lexus Camry coming out?

Nothing like perpetuating the stereotype.

I've got an "appliance" that will handle your almighty M3.

Just so we're clear, the "appliances" continue to outsell BMW by a very large margin, especially if you want to include Toyota in the conversation and not just Lexus. The number of "enthusiasts" out there are far outweighed by people who prerer to take reliable transportation from point A to point B.

P.S. btw...using the term you have is highly offensive and racist.

It's got nothing to do with what cars you've owned or haven't.

Have a peek at my sig....I could really give a shit about the badge on the hood.

I actually have tons of respect for the car that you chose, but it wasn't what I wanted. I too drive both German and Japanese, but that doesn't change your statement being out of line.

It wasn't meant to be racist. It is called typing shorthand. Oh well, my bad I guess.

To each is own but honestly the IS is a no headhaches car. Not something we can say about german cars that need a reprogram or ECU reflash for some BS reason every now and then....(Audi,Bmw, Mercedes)

Not in our case. Ours was towed to the dealer 3 times for issues realted to the keyless system and in another 3 times for nav issues. It took 4 weeks to get a software update so the nav would work again. We have had far better service with BMW, Mercedes, and even Ford.

They'll probably state how the majority of sales come from autos but they are alienating enthusiasts who would otherwise consider the car. Especially, considering how they offer a manual in the is250 I've never owned a toyota/lexus manual car so I don't even know if they are any good?

Really? I know the IS-F is close to being a real comparison to at least the C63, if not the M3 (handling balance and ride quality are still a bit unsorted) but he regular IS doesn't strike me as appealing to many enthusiasts. Brand whores? Yes. Enthusiasts? Not so much.

I think Toyota has it just right with this model. Leave it as an auto only, get the next car right. Traditionally, the Japanese have figured it out fairly quickly, and the next IS should probably be much closer. Look at the gap between the first, lousy IS and this one, they made up a lot of ground, and BMW isn't exactly pushing the 3er forward like they could have.

There are multiple car companies...including Ferrari....that put the LED threads just below the lamps....how many other places can you put them???
1. They choose to buy their engines somewhere because they are clearly too small to make their own, not because Toyota is necessarily the best choice.

2.Bet that the GS will soon get something to make it similar at their updates. Plus, BMW comes out with the MTech and commonizes a blue and what does Lexus do less than a year later? Exactly the same thing!

3. Ferrari do not put their LED's in the same place. Prove it.

LOL!

The IS F is limited to 172 mph....I know, I've been well past your 155 mph in mine.

As you've seen in my previous posts, I do like the XFR....but you'll be staring at tailights all day if you want to compare performance to the F.

Just to play armchair quarterback, it looks like you'd both be looking at each other, no tail lights. Both are listed as identical trap speeds for the 1/4 and no perceptible difference all the way to 150. I know it's C&D, but numerous other sources list the same, nearly identical times for both, and since they're both slushboxes, there's not a lot of driver involvement to get wrong.

They should've made that color exclusive for the IS-F. Not a big fan of the minor cosmetic changes also especially the front... It's a classic case of Acura TL too, i prefer the old design than the new one.

Sounds like something Germany car manufacturer can take notes on. Imitate japanese electronics instead of producing their own shitronics

Lexus and Acura continue to march down the road of design bankruptcy.
