Wow, right place, right time, eh Tim? (For you, not the mouse.)

Your Eiffel Tower pic was taken from the sidewalk across the street? That's where I was standing, waiting for the fountain show at the Bellagio. If I can stay awake tonight, I'll get out and get some night pics. Too tired last night.

Off to Death Valley today.

yep, i was out taking pics of the foliage and then this huge hawk flew by and i followed it. I didn't know it had a mouse/squirrel in it's claws until I zoomed in at 200mm. The mouse/squirrel was still alive as the hawk kept on pecking at it

now come to think of it you're right about my location of my shot, i was standing waiting for the fountain show....it was also pretty windy & cold

It takes forever to get from Point A to Point B here because there is a killer photo op around every bend. The whole area is stunning to behold.

Thanks, Paul. I have a bunch of pics, but I think I'll put up a thread rather than clogging the SSOD thread.

More Starbuck's in NYC, I think even on a per capita basis. Did you stop by the original Starbuck's when you were at Pike Place?

Oh, and thanks for not taking (or at least posting...) the typical Pike Place shot.....

Yes, made it over to the original, I was expecting they would put some more memorabilia in then they did. But then again, it's only about 40 years old.

I assume you mean a picture of a fish being thrown? I looked at the spot and it wasn't really as cool as i was expecting, and also, i didn't want to be overly cliche.

lots of bright colours in there, so that ended up being what i looked at most of all, and sampling a few things, like the chocolate spaghetti.

If weather is good tomorrow, I'm going to try and get some shots of bald eagles I've found around me here in Vancouver. I picked up a rain sleeve for my camera, so i'm pretty much set for just in case, but we'll see if they are still hanging out where I saw them the other day.

Nope, a shot of the "Public Market" neon sign. Just search Google Image for "Pike Place Market" and you'll see what I mean.....
