Xpel body wrap with satin on main panels and clear (shiny) on shiny trim plus you must do ceramic pro on top of the wrap. Including photo sync film on driver and passenger windows about $7,500.

My Xpel Stealth installer warned me that getting ceramic over the top of the PPF might be counterproductive in that since I use automated car washes and they are ‘acidic’ in nature, it could/would damage the ceramic coating. So I didn’t get the ceramic over the Stealth.

My whole car including the roof covered with Ultimate was right around $6500.

You can only do these coatings if you buy the car or in a lease as well ?

I will have to ask that ceramic/car wash question! But living in Florida and having an electric pressure washer and foam gun I don’t use auto washes. Easy enough to do my own.

Leasing vs purchase vs stolen makes no difference to whether or not you can ceramic coat or PPF the car

The consideration is whether or not you think it’s worth it to spend $6-9K on “enhancements” to a car that isn’t yours or that you have no intention to keep beyond the lease term.

Ceramic coating mainly makes a car easier to clean and wash, so it really helps the person washing the car on a regular basis. If that’s you, it might very well be worth it. If it’s your regular detailer or an auto wash, then you’re really paying to make their job easier, or, worse, the auto wash could actually negate the polish and coating work. To get the same shiny finish that a coating offers, a polish and wax from time to time is also a great alternative and 1 coating job could cost the equivalent of 3-4 polish/wax jobs. Most people see coatings as a way to avoid having to do more frequent polish/waxes.

PPF is a much more costly undertaking, and it’s great for protecting the original paint finish, but also expensive to replace if you need to repair a panel that’s been covered. Probably worth it if you own an expensive car and want to keep it for a long time to amortize the cost.

If on the lease return bmw would insist on having the wrap removed I think it is about $1200. But I think I could return as is without cost for removal

I had the same question. BMW lease return guidelines seem to say wraps need to be removed before lease return. Obviously not a ceramic coating, though.
