was stupidly cold here, i didn't really stick around to get the best shots that i could, but considering i couldn't feel my hands, i think these came out ok. as usual though, i appreciate opinions.

In 1993, the Naval Radio Transmitting Facility, Driver, VA, was designated for closure pursuant to the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990, Public Law 101-510, as amended. Operational closure occured in March 1994. NAVFACENGCOM took ownership on 17 November 1994. The reuse plan was approved by HUD on 23 September 1996. The approved reuse plan allocates approximately 208 acres to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service; 239 acres to the Department of Interior, National Park Service, for a public benefit conveyance to the City of Suffolk; and 150 acres to the Department of Education for public benefit conveyances. Final disposal was by August 1999. The Coast Guard has replaced DGPS Broadcast site Cape Henry, VA with DGPS Broadcast site Driver, VA. The relocation was completed June 19, 1999. Driver, VA retains the same frequency and reference station identification numbers formerly assigned to Cape Henry, VA.

our entry point is circled, and the small structure is the only thing we had time to explore. getting out was easier cause it was dark and all the city workers had gone home. just so you get an idea of size, the section of Kings Hwy. from Windy RIver Farm to Sleepy Hole Road (County Road 629) is 1.3 miles.

A shot I captured today during a dance recital. The shadow cast by the dancer in the spotlight appears to be doing the splits on the floor, while the dancer was in mid-air.

Thanks guys! Got pretty lucky with that one, although I may try editing it a bit better. I have this one too, and oddly enough I think it looks better when I change the white balance to "fluorescent" vs. as-shot (incandescent).

I think go square on the 2nd one and remove some of the flooring or clone out that shadow on the floor. It works in the first shot but is distracting for me in the 2nd.
Her left finger looks broken. Another good shot at any rate.

She has both hands held virtually identical. Middle finger raised above the others slightly on both hands.

Not really, just one of the teachers at my daughters' dance studio. I usually shoot every performance (good practice). I should set up all the shots on Smugmug or something and tell the parents to go there and BUY pictures!
