The different colored vent-panel is just dumb. It's never been the most aggressive look by any measure. The value has always been good with the R8, but it's not a "looker" IMO.

The 2nd gen R8 does nothing for me, design wise. It lost virtually all the charm of the 1st gen and is not just adding loads more stuff like random creases and angles on top of it.
The symptoms of modern design; adding "aggression" in a superficial way doesn't make a design more appealing...

1st gen is still the best looking one.

Audi is a great performer but just so blah styling wise. The new RS5 is a much better looking car than this. Saw one at the Miami Auto show a few weeks ago and was impressed... but Audi just so bland looking in general.
Audi... listen! Take NA v10 from R8, deposit into S5 body, lose entire front driveline, give it a Manual Transmission... and then collect my deposit. Make a car that actually “needs” the driver lol |

What the hell is that panel on the drivers side center console? Its blocking the lower buttons for the driver. Dumb. Should be on the passengers side like always.

Yeah, that seems like a real problem. When I buy a Swatch, I really don't want it to look anything like a Patek Philippe or a Vacheron Constantin.

You realize there'd be cylinders sticking out the front bumper, right?
