Are you from Texas?

Well I am. And I will. Because I see their negativity on a regular. I also have local friends and family in politics and lawyers here directly in the know. Thanks for your concern though. And if the tweet/reply was so 'innocent and unrelated', why was it taken down? Coincidence. Hardly. Now back on subject...

Moderators, I do not intent to interject politics into this otherwise horrific and tragic event.

Feel free to remove any of my or other posts that move the thread in the wrong direction.

The focus is the act itself and coming together as a nation to support one another in good and difficult times.

I wouldn't take ANYTHING from this "Hard Right" propaganda info site:

http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/The_Gateway_Pundit

Quote:
The Gatewood Pundit is a hard-right website that spends most of the day complaining about Barack Obama and liberals, and the occasional flirtation with outright white supremacists. It is a fairly popular blog, allegedly getting 4-5 million views each month, once again proving that being popular doesn't necessarily make you right.
This isn't a political statement, so I would probably not doubt it. But here's another source:

I think he likely took it down once he (or his assistants) watched the news this morning, and/or realized people were offended, as that likely wasn't their intention.

Seems plausible to me. Just unfortunate timing.

Terrible tragedy..so sad.

How is someone on a terrorist watch list able to legally obtain the weapons he did?

History of physical abuse and mentally unstable. Shocking...

Ex-wife also says he wasn't particularly religious. Sounds like an unstable asshole homophobe with a short fuse.

Awesome. The shooter was previously under investigation from the fbi for his terroristic views. And what was this guys occupation? Security guard. Works in government buildings. A perfect candidate for such specialized work.

Bingo! Not every Terrorist act is carried out by individuals who are affiliated with Terrorist groups. Some are just self hateful, evil, depraved psycho paths.

Andddddddd now it comes to light that he was an ISIS sympathizer and was apparently attracted to radical Islam.

Agreed, but this one pledged allegiance to ISIS:

This will be something around the 18th time President Obama will have to address a mass shooting. All the while he is unable to have anything meaningful changed to prevent future tragedies because 1) nobody cares about mentally unstable people, and 2) muh guns.

Not sure yet if this guy is mentally unstable - the only one who has said that is his ex-wife. It is pretty clear he's ISIS-involved though.

It's also clear that he was a security guard working in a government facility, and was being watched at some point by the FBI. You do have to wonder where he got the guns?

Is the solution to take guns away from everyone?

President Obama is responsible for record gun sales throughout his presidency.

Without getting too far off topic in my reply... He has had to deal with so much "epic road blocks" on damn near any and everything he would even attempt to do. The fact of the matter is, far too many guns are far too easily accessible to the wrong people. Fecuritis link tells the most unfortunate story of his unstable history. No clear cut definitive solution to this.
Unfortunately I believe it will raise even more fear and hate mongering rhetoric from certain individuals and politicians.

Not guns. Absolutely not guns. Do not blame that sacred right!!!

Let the establishment take away the guns and you will still see mass killings from psychopaths. They will use poisons and explosives and anything home made to execute their evils.

A hundred bucks at any hardware store can kill just as many people as whatever that guy spent at a gunshop.

Do not blame the gun. Blame the shooter.

Couldn't tell you who he was if he was standing next to me.
However.
He's not even in the country and those verses or whatever automatically post at 7am I believe.
He apologized and thats that.

I'm not a bible thumper but maybe there are still people on the planet that enjoyed his Sunday morning tweets.

Calling for his head or job or whatever is as unreasonable as the tweet would have been if deliberate.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe it was because many, many people did not support what he was trying to do?

Arrest made in West Hollywood, just ahead of the Gay Parade there- guy apparently had assault weapons and bomb-making stuff in his car. Someone called cops and they got him before the parade started.
