Toaster wars.

Could probably program EVs to do the drag race without a driver at all.

Very sad to see that battery operated cars are now the fastest things on the ground.
I grew up with BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini V12 engines being the top dogs.

Tesla did pretty good, now all they need to do is to add 4th motor to match Rimac performance. Should be pretty easy to do. I believe Tesla Roaster will have 4 motors plus SpaceX thrusters ...

Not sure how. The rule is - the fastest car wins, regardless of propulsion.

The frunk will be smaller though. Also the Tesla seats at least 4 comfortably and more storage. They need to lose the glass roof and go with CF to save weight and also a CF hood and carbon ceramic brakes.

They did say BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini V12 engines. The McLaren F1 with a BMW V12 engine was faster than anything else on the market for a decade or so.

Ha, okay, but that seems sort of like saying Nissan is making some fast V8's since the current Maccas run an evolution of the Nissan LM motors.

Yes, both of those cars are mental. The Plaid's fast/$$ ratio is fantastic and given the endless shitload of Teslas I see on the daily, I expect to come across a handful of these hyper toasters in my travels...Skip to 14:30 of the video below and you'll see, and probably agree with, the differences between a slower 10 second 135 mph ICE car and the originally posted EVs.

Most of the Tesla's extra weight is in the battery, so as battery power density continue to improve and also with the new structural 4680 cells layout it should be possible to actually decrease the weight and add 4th motor. I'm pretty sure that they are working on something cool to replace 10 year old Model S platform.

As a fellow Croat, he is a great example of someone that can make things happen if you put your mind to it, even in a country that is still developing.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the other Croat that is currently the head of BMW design
