As much as I enjoy Lamborghini. This is wrong of them to rebadge a current model and call it a Countach. What's even more insulting is to charge/price it astronomicaly as they are.
At the very least, build an entirely new vehicle. |

Lambo is free to charge whatever they estimate their clients will pay, but asking $2M for an aventador with a body kit is pushing the envelope.
It's sad to watch these influencers unwilling to say what everyone else can see; Lmabo is squeezing blood from a stone with these iterations of soon to be gone platforms. |

They will sell every single one of them and in the future these will be worth far more than any current Lamborghini. I don't see the problem at all as it's not like any of us (apologies to the few that may be) are the target demographic that can afford one.

In general though, this nostalgic badge revival the last 5-10 years is getting old when every "new" resurrected nameplate is either half baked or unoriginal. It's like the companies don't understand why we fell in love with the originals in the first place. But money talks. And slapping an old name on a car works.

Never said or imagined they would not sell.
Heck.... There are far more ridiculous and ultra expensive shit that people buy regularly. I'd probably buy one if I were wealthy too! 😁 |

Should have left the plate retired IMO.

What % of hypercars never really get used and are just investments/things-to-look-at?

I can appreciate the original Countach's styling, it's striking sure. But it is not nearly as striking to me, as I always hear people talk about it. Everyone and their mother talks about it being the quintessential "poster car" that "everyone had" in their rooms, or how their "inner kid" is loves the Countach. I don't understand that, it never felt like that to me. Seems like they just had a good marketing campaign back then more then anything.
