Dealer drilled 6 freakin holes into my bumper!!!

Have the dealership replace your bumper and register your car to NM. No front plates required.

Bottom line, your SA shouldn't have lied to you. That is worth filing a complaint to the dealership. Compensation? Eh. Maybe free maintenance, some parts, but I don't know about a full on bumper replacement. I think you could have used a bit of common sense on this one. How did you expect them to re-align the plate without drilling new holes? If someone said they could, the first thing I would ask is HOW? Does not excuse your SA lying to you, though.

Also, judging from the screw holes, it looks like the plate was just a few mm off, not inches. I highly doubt the contour of the bracket would allow a three inch offset. You would have noticed something that big at delivery. I think you might have had a chance at that point to say, "Fix it, new bumper, or I'm not taking delivery."

It was catonsville benz dealer. So far SA has not even apologized and just insist that the bumper will be fixed.

Koons operation, I recall G. Gordon Libby on his radio show, years ago, saying how Koons Volvo ripped off his wife, and a few days ago one employee stabbed a fellow employee at a Koons Chevrolet.
You know I'd probably ask for cash for compensation and not have them touch the car any more.
Are you an MBCA club member, because if you are the club has an ombudsman to assess these issues.

If anything they will probably swap a bumper from a car that is in stock since 99% of the customers who drive mb and bmw will never notice this

Only argument I can see you having is you want to install a tow hook cover bracket for the plate but at that point it is not their problem. Regardless good luck hope you do get something but from the dealer side of the situation and have seen this before I really hate you lol

If you had the ability to remove the bracket you should have centered it yourself. It's going to be he said she said if there was nothing written or if no repair order was generated.
