Comfort, Sport or Sport +?
For those of you lucky enough to already own an M2, I'm curious to know which mode you prefer for street driving, specifically with respect to differences in steering effort. Is it a pain that the car always defaults to Comfort each time you start it?

I personally prefer sports+ I don't really notice a difference in steering effort to much between the modes but my preference is based on how the rpms drop when you shift in the 6mt. In comfort the revs hang a little longer so my timing is a little off and I get a jerky shift up/down but that's from my own experience. I also don't find it too annoying switching between the modes at startup but I do get annoyed by how long the mode shows up on the I drive display after you switch

M2 DCT. In daily city driving I find I am using comfort and sport about 50% of the time and rarely sport+. Sport+ tends to hold the gear changes too far in Auto so needs to use manual mode.
This is my first daily driver that is not manual and I thought that I would be using manual much more than I actually am. But in traffic, stop start etc the default to easy mode is just the least hassle - its called comfort for a reason. I can't believe how fast I have gone soft...... haha. But I have other cars as well to entertain if I want manual and Light weight flywheel, high revving action. |

I drive in sport+ 100% of the time and only time i drive in comfort is when i'm cruising on the highway.
I press the start button and then immediately press the sport button two times which doesn't bother me, just part of my routine when starting the car |

In the city, I'm on sport or sport+, depending on the traffic.
DTC makes no sense in the city... I use sport+ and DTC in the twisties to go to the cottage...! IMfan |

I've got the 6mt. It's a bit annoying you can't use idrive to set a default start mode (it can probably be coded?) but I've got into the habit of pressing start button, select mode, turn off auto stop (another thing I wish you could turn off permanently!) and away you go.
Comfort for motorway, sport for most other, sport+ for when it's dry and 'traction' mode for when you want to turn a few heads cruising round town! Not tried full mdm mode yet, I'm just not that good a driver! I do find though after using sport+ for while, comfort can feel bit sluggish by comparison!

When you turn off your car, last setting for auto stop / start should be saved. I have mine disabled and when i turn off the car, restart it's still disabled so weird this doesn't work for you.

Sport+ 99% (when engine is started first thing I do) though I'm not fond of the rather whiplash way it shifts, so sometimes switching back to Sport(which probably is the best way to go anyway) and sometimes all nannies off when wet. Easier to slide

For normal driving I am in Sport (but steering in confort...i find it artificially too heavy for my tastes).
In the city, I am in Confort and MDM on, for the show...hahahah If going to drive some nice road, then Sport+ DSC OFF... Thats the beauty of the electronics. Easy to change from one setting to another. What I ALWAYS do is turn START/STOP off as soon as I start the engine. Specially now, that the car is quite new.

Comfort + MDM for street. Most noise and show off appeal. Keep sport+ for track driving where I can speed with no points. 😎😎

I personally drive around in Sport most of the time, or Comfort+MDM. No reason to be in Sport+ unless I am on some twisties or the track. |

Same here for now. I only have 600 miles on the car. We will see what happens when I break the 1200 mile mark and go DP and tune
