I'm in Japan several times a year. I use to live there a bit in Winter and Summer but now my time is very short :+( anyway I did some new pics with my special lady friend rofl

Many years ago, I worked in Tokyo and Osaka for seven months. The day trip to Nara from Osaka is beautiful, it's about a 45 minute train ride and the Temple is amazing. You can make a small climb up to a beautiful vista, I'll attach a shot of the Temple below. I also had a project near Mt.Fuji, it's surrounded by lakes and waterfalls and is quite majestic. Please pardon the disposable camera shots, I hadn't started my photo career at that time.

Kinda miss my USAF days when I see photps like these. My son was born in Misawa which is in Northern Japan. We lived there from 1992-1995. Way before digital days. Last time I was in Tokyo was 2015 on a return leg from Diego Garcia.

I can only dream of visiting Tokyo, but I'm not as attracted to that city as I am to their beautiful villages. I've heard it's better to go there in spring.
