I went the cheap way and had the replica MP aero kit installed on my G20 M Sport last summer. The shop that installed the kit used some kind of epoxy instead of the BMW recommended betalink. The epoxy used didn't hold the side skirts on that well. Now the epoxy used won't come off from the paint on the rockers. Any suggestions what to use to remove it? I have the genuine MP set of side skirts and front lip spoiler to go on in the next couple of days. Which will be installed with the recommended beta link K2 adhesive.

Have you tried Goo Gone or something like that? Let it sit for a while and then try to remove slowly. Otherwise you could get a detailing shop to remove it.

I tried Goo Gone which didn't touch most of it. I did ask the detailing department here at work and the are afraid of damaging the paint when attempting to remove it.

I'm thinking of getting a decal eraser wheel for my electric drill and giving that a good.

Update:

So I've tried Goo Gone, WD40, Contractor's Solvent, plastic razor/scraper, and the 3M eraser wheel attachment for electric drill. Nothing will touch this epoxy. I did however test fit the replacement genuine MP side skirt extension and it does cover up the epoxy. But my question is with the epoxy in the same location the betalink will attach the skirts wouldn't it interfere with the bonding of the it to the car?

Betalink K1, not K2 is the recommended adhesive for M performance parts.
