BMW dealership garage area paint color?

In preparation for my new M3 Im building a car washing station with an electric pressure washer, hoses and all the soaps! Eventually (hopefully within a year) my garage will be redone. My ultimate goal is to paint the garage the same color as the BMW dealerships but for the time being I want to paint the cabinet that grey. Has anyone else done something like this and happen to have a paint code BMW uses in the dealerships?

Im not going to walk into my dealer with a bunch of swatches and find what matches closest!

This is a cool idea. Don't know the color, but definitely in to see what it comes out like.

No but I did recently pick up an electric pressure washer strictly for running my foam cannon attachment. And since I was so OCD I spent hours pouring over which to get. My wall mounted shop vac is craftsman and it's red so I wanted something to match it. I found this Stanley pressure washer (2,050 PSI 1.4 GPM Electric Pressure Washer) that clipped in a movable mount and it had the option for a wall mount. After searching and searching I found that Craftsman had a red one that looked the exact same but didn't have the wall mount option. I now am the proud owner of the stanley wall mounting bracket and the craftsman version of the pressure washer. It's mounted on the wall right next to my red shop vac AND MATCHES...lol

I have hot and cold water hookups inside my garage too that just so happens to be right under my electric pressure washer. Now I foam my cars up and spray them off with the electric pressure washer to get all the big stuff off before I hand wash. Works like a charm!

I have been on the lookout for 2 BMW wheels to use as hose reels. I want to mount them on the wall for my pressure washing hose and then on the other wall for my air compressor hose. It's also about time to redo my epoxy floors. My plan is to paint my block and walls and then trim the transition from block to sheetrock out better than the treated lumber top and paint it white. Thinking a dark grey bottom (block) and a lighter grey for the sheetrock walls.

Haha! Sweet! I have a bad habit of once I get something in my head im determined to make it work no matter how much time I sink into it. After dealing with gas pressure washers, cheapo electric pressure washers and they all failing after 6 months or so I got pissed off enough and searched for a more permanent "pro solution" in my searching I came across this: https://f.bepowerequipment.com/pw-el...1-9cdfeaf35f4c but at $2800 bucks that was alot of coin....I then got to looking at it and I was like "Hell ill reverse engineer it and save some coin" (incase your wondering I was able to build it for ~$1485)

Well I successfully in being able to remake it but not without more hours then I care to admit. my background is automating homes and estates so I thought this would be easy....well, you cant just control a 5hp electric motor without some industrial controls! (that took some learning and research)

long story short, had I put a dollar amount on my time researching it I could have bought the one I was copying 20 times over Problem being Im in the "more power" category and the " better to have and not need then to need and not have" I got a 250 ft hose, crank up the pressure and power wash my house and driveway without having to drag around a gas/cord/hose...Its one of those first world luxuries that once you have you cant not have it!

my plan for the cabinet is to have my pressure washer remotely located and run two lines to the cabinet so I can have the foam cannon and pressure washer wands side by side (so I dont have to swap them out) and then have my regular hose pressure reel within the other two reels.

My goal is to have a completely self contained washing cabinet so I can be from dry car to washing in under 2 minutes!

sounds like you have a sweet setup! I cant do it now but when I redo the garage next year im running a hot line out!

Home Depot has an app that can match colors off your phones photos. I am sure its not 100% but easier than swatches.

Cant wait to see some pictures once you get started.

Sweet! And yeah I'm worried that mine will not last long term. But my shop vac is almost 15 years old so I'll probably upgrade both the next time one goes down. I try not to have anything on the ground in my garage and if it is on the ground, it has wheels so I can roll it around. But I mop my garage floor so I'm nuts...lol And I have piped my compressed air system so I have quick disconnects at each tire along the wall and one in between the garage doors for the tires not next to a wall.

I would love to valve in a header so I had the ability to have two wands at the ready. But since I hand wash after I have plenty of time to swap nozzles. I leave my car foamed up while I rinse my foam cannon out and then I completely spray it down with a pressured nozzle. After that is when I go to town with the garden hose and double bucket method using a microfiber mitt. I also wash the inside of the wheels during tire rotations to get to the spots I can't easily clean with the wheel brushes I use.

My wife says they are just cars and rolls her eyes at my efforts. But thankfully she realizes that I put that much effort into caring for her as well. Her coworkers are always amazed that her 8 year old car is so perfect when they take it to lunch. I'm lucky she realizes it even tho she pokes at me for it...lol

lol! Is it weird that I can't wait for the day where I can mop my epoxy (future) floors? Our wash methods are pretty much the same. I do the wheels first and then wash the car though. I probably switch back and fourth and foam a little too much, but my vehicles are swirl free so I guess its working!

my wife says the same thing, she thinks its insane that I spent what I did on the pressure washer! (good thing i did it before I had met her lol) Of course my wife could care less if the outside of a car is clean...after all a car is just a vehicle to get you to where your going She has a horse and lives at the barn so its pretty much pointless to keep her car clean. It kills me but ive learned to live with it!

Every dealership I have ever been in is a light grey. It's the same color at the Welt/PCD too!

Not sure if this would be helpful or the grey you were looking for, but these are the greys I used for my garage a few years back:

Stunning! Did you just pick a light grey out?

I love how you have your ED plates lined up! I wanted to start a collection after my first ED in my office but sadly it didn't work out this time with the M3

He looks great! I can open the garage door and mine runs out, almost taking out my knee, to get to the back door of my truck and sits patiently waiting to see if we are going for a ride...lol The epoxy floor has proved to be a little slick for him at times as he's exited my F250.

It's about time to redo my floor after almost 15 years. Best tip I was told was to prep, prep, prep before putting it down. I etched my concrete with muriatic acid and then used the cleaner that came with the epoxy (used the Lowes/Home Depot stuff). Now after looking at your post and the rest of the garages on there has made me want to get back out in mine and do a few more things!

Here's my boy when we were competing in PSA. He's just a lap dog now, training every Saturday was just too much with my daughter getting older and into sports.

Yeah sorry for getting off track... I get side tracked a lot when I'm out with him...lol

Anyway, back on the topic. I am getting some samples of the paint you used:
Bottom-Valspar Duramax flat High Speed Steel
Top-Valspar Duramax flat Polished Silver

Going to try to use the bottom color and a something similar to do the attached with my 3 rows of block before the sheetrock starts. Each block is painted with a different blend of 4 like colors from what I've read.
