f30 parcel shelf (rear deck?) removal

Hey guys...

I'm about to take my f30 to get the windows tinted... The installation guy asked if I could help him a bit and take the parcel shelf off...

Has anyone done it and not broken a thing?
Any tips or DIYs?

and to be more specific... I didn't mean the metal deck to be removed, just the plastic/soft/whatever surface...
