FORD vs FERRARI | Official Trailer

I think this is a must see for any car guy or girl.

Schwarzschild Radius originally posted this in the Movie Thread but I thought it deserved it's own thread.

The first new car I bought was a ‘88 Mustang GT and was on the list for the new Shelby GT500 when I debuted but the dealer decided last minute that they were going to hold auctions for the 2 or 3 they were allotted so I told him where he shove his car and went and bought a new C6 the next day. I’m a big Ford fan, race fan and auto history buff so this is right in my wheelhouse. I can’t remember the last time I went to see a movie on opening night but this one I’m pretty sure I’ll be there in line for it.

Looks like a great story, and hopefully the CGI racing will feel, look, and sound real. The Ford GT remains my favorite car of all time (new or from the 60's).

Hopefully you're behind some sort of steel reinforced barrier. Otherwise you won't be safe from the carnage.

Been so many small budget films and documentaries about this story that have come out. Only a matter of time before it hit mainstream!

Wonder if this should go in the professional motor sports forum or off topic since it's a period film about professional racing. Could belong to more than one category depending on the opinion of the reader.

General Automotive (non-BMW) Talk + Photos/Videos, seemed to capture it best in my humble opinion.

Boring story. No-name cast. Seems like a flop to me.

I suspect given his new ride, a very hot car.

My dream car was always a Shelby Cobra, obviously I could never be in that kind of economic group but I did have a Factory Five Cobra for a few years. What a blast. At heart as a young man I was all about American V8's as I matured I started leaning hard into sports cars and have gravitated towards the Germans because the seem a bit more muscular than the other European cars. I do love many of the Ferraris too.....

Maybe he'll jump in with his view.

My first car was a hand me down ‘67 New Yorker with the 440 4 barrel brute. It was a torque monster and could do long Smokey burnouts easy as Pie, I was hooked at an early age. . I’ll always have American V8 power in my life, it’s in my blood. My current Corvette is SC’d and makes over 600 hp. For a DD I still need a car with gittyup and sporty. N54 Cobbed 135i fits the bill.

Carroll Shelby was the man, big fan of his since I was a young kid in the 6o’s and my older brother explained the legendary Carroll to me and his conquest at Le Mans and his street Cobras. About 8 years ago we were in Vegas and nearby was his building. We went by to if by chance we could check it out and possibly meet the icon. As we pulled up there was a group of business men in suits outside and a taller guy with a cowboy hat, it was him. He was having some sort of business meeting so that ended that but I was glad to get a glimpse of the legend. Only way I’ll get a legitimate side Oiler Cobra is if we hit mega millions and then I will, it’ll be the first acquisition on a long list of dream cars. A 2005-06 Ford GT is also on it as is a 65 GT 350, GT 500, ‘69 Cobra Jet Mach I..............

Punisher + Dark Knight + Jason Bourne + FordvsFerraris from the LeMans era?

Sounds like a good combo! I hope it lives up to the hype.
