Very easy, tell him to eff off and if he continues you'll call his manager etc.

Nothing to stress over. Go to a different dealership and pretend he doesn't exist. Or purchase a different brand of car. It doesn't even sound like you want a vehicle from there so block the number or ignore it. Truly not anything to get this bothered by. IMO. Life's too short, go find a car you love, drive it around and come tell us about the experience! |

Dude is trying to sell you an Audi like that? That's borderline abuse... If it were me, I would tell him that his sales tactics are far too pushy, and I will be buying my car elsewhere, then block him.

I'd just respond to him telling him this tactic is annoying. Then follow up with something about a car purchase is a multi faceted decision, it goes way beyond original purchase price and you are considering those variables; Retained value, insurance rates, MPG, reliability, cost of maintenance, prestige, how you feel in the car, and how the dealer treats you are all factors. His approach is diminishing the last one.

I'd send him a low ball offer.
Essentially the lowest price you'd be willing to pay for that car. Tell him you can't come in unless he can send you a buyers order with the agreed upon price. Who knows, he might give it to you if he wants your business that badly. |

I’m more annoyed that he sends 3 word texts instead of full sentences.
I think if you type STOP that ends it. I know these guys have to sell cars but you have to read your customer too. NOW, if you think you want the vehicle go in and test drive it with him then bounce and decide if you want to try another dealer etc. if you don’t like the vehicle then you know without having 2 people, harassing you…unfortunately this is normal |

Why do you consider this pushy?
If you had responded NO and this continued then yes, that's pushy. This is just marketing and you haven`t clicked unsubscribe (by saying no) yet. I do agree his text are not the best. |

I avoid this by not test-driving anything until I'm ready to buy. When I decide to buy a new car, I research the vehicles, then go look. If I find one I want to buy I get my trade appraised and find out what my out the door payoff would be. Once those things are in place, I'll do a test-drive. There's no reason to waste a salesperson's (or my) time until I'm ready to write a check. You took up his valuable time and now he's taking yours. Sounds like an even trade.
