Nikon D60 or Canon EOS Rebel XS?
I am going to buy my first DSLR camera and debating between the Nikon D60 and Canon EOS Rebel XS. Which is the better camera? Both can be had at $539 from newegg.

I'm a pretty big Canon fan but I've heard good things about Nikon, too.
Someone was selling the XSi for $550 here on E90Post. It was sold an hour later. The XSi has much more features compared to the XS for a bit more money and prices are set to drop thanks to Canon releasing the new T1. http://www.butterflyphoto.com/prodin...ef=Froogle_New |

My sister has the D60, I shot it and its nice. I like the shutter speed on it when shooting sport mode, a lot faster then my sony A200. The LCD display is a nice compared to my A200. I would love to get either, but I'm happy with my sony, even got the sony 75-300 lens from circut city before they closed for $94.

Forgot about this thread. I went with the D60 and love it. I love the image quality of a DSLR compared to my old point and shoot.
I picked a used 70-300mm VR lens as well. |
