I've always said that when you misrepresent your vehicle by adding badges meant for another vehicle, it tells me less about the actual car and more about the person driving it.

curious if people feel the same about non-zcp Ms that people put the black badges on to replicate the look (especially now that the 19s can be had stock for zcp). because i see a lot of guys putting the black on and it makes me laugh

Not really - I don't see those as "special" to the ZCP (I have one) - they're just a preference. To be honest, if I had a ZCP in a dark color, I'd probably want the chrome badges anyway.

The black badges were out and available before the ZCP - many F8X cars had black badges from IND before the ZCP had black badges.

Exactly. Non ZCPs are still M cars. I have a BSM M4 and wouldn't want the black badges on the car.

I have those on mine as well as the black chrome tips and bought my M4 before the ZCP's were built.
