First World Problems Thread

I originally thought this was what the FML thread was going to be about - but that turned out to be a thread of tragic story after tragic story.

So I did one of these....

I figured - this is a BMW forum, I'm sure many of us experience a few first world problems. Let's hear em.

Here's a few that I was hit with recently:

- I had to delay delivery of my car by a few weeks because I booked tickets for Disney on Ice that same weekend, and the following week we're taking an all-inclusive trip to the Dominican.

- I have to do performance reviews for my employees this month - It's gonna take a while because my team grew last year.

I strive to max out my 401K contributions (to the annual amount the IRS allows) but doing it in a way so that it evenly spreads across my biweekly checks through the year to maximize my employer's contributions matching. when I get my bonus payout in July I have to adjust my contributions down to account for that bigger paycheck. Then I need to adjust my subsequent checks after the bonus. So much work......

Had just posted in the weather thread how 16 people died in California storm, and my big problem was to pump the water out of my back yard. Does this count as a first world problem? Especially compared to what other people out here are having to deal with.

Pretty upset about the terrible weather conditions we've had here over the last month or two that have prevented me from flying. :|

I suppose relatively speaking.... although that's borderline, sounds like a pretty big hassle.

Been here 31 years and used to have to do it on a regular basis, so pretty used to it. With the recent rains I have been having to do it again. Not really that much of a hassle. Attach a hose to the pump and bring the other end of the hose through the side yard to the curb and attach the pump to an extension cord and plug the extension cord in. VOILÀ!

I started a thread with the same title years ago when I got ketchup splattered all over my new khakis. There were some pretty interesting responses in that one. It'll be fun seeing what pops up this time around.

My current 1st World Problem is creating display space for my new toys...er, I mean tools. My brother and I just finished my workbench, but now I have more tools and no place to show them off. I already had to double up my router and Sawzall. The horror...

Shoot, I should have spent more time using the search function. I did a quick search to see if there was a thread like this already but didn't look too deep into it.

I don't think the search function works for OT, does it?

Anyway, a new thread is good. The old stuff was dated.

I came down with Salmonella a couple of days ago. Not sure if it's a 1st world problem as it's likely it came from south of the border on some fresh fruit or veggies.

Been there. On a school trip to Mexico in '96 I foolishly ate a chicken sammich that had a piece of lettuce on it. We spent the next two days and nights in Taxco, which is (or was) a cool little town. I was trapped in the hotel room because I couldn't be more than a few seconds from the bathroom.

I don’t think so. Where it lets you choose a forum to search in the “Advanced Search” section, OT is not there. Don’t know why. Would be very handy.

My bar is too small for all the bottles I got. So I have to stick some in the back, which is a pita because it's against the wall.
