Cheese Thread

“Sweet dreams are made of cheese, who am I to diss-a-brie, I cheddar the world and the feta cheese, everybody's looking for Stilton”.

Whether it’s Super A or Velveeta… or it goes with your wine… or nachos.. or grilled cheese sandwich..

Pretty cheesy thread but I like horseradish cheese or pepperjack, always something with a bite.

I had the opportunity to fly business class on Qatar Airways last year and I ordered a cheese platter by accident (meant to order cheesecake) and while I can't really name any of the cheeses, it was an interesting experience.

I'm not very fancy - my favorite cheeses are Mozzarella and pepperjack

Black Diamond cheddar with crackers for snacking / appetizer
Best aged cheddar at Whole Foods when I can’t find Black Diamond, which is most of the time
Also a good Manchego for appetizer
Parmigiano Reggiano for appetizer and cooking
Fresh mozzarella for snacking and appetizer (more my wife than me but I’ll have a little)
Mozzarella for pizza and baked pasta and chicken parm (low moisture not fresh most of the time)
Boar’s Head white American or baby Swiss for sandwiches
Provolone for cheese steak
Thick sliced cheddar or American for burgers or grilled cheese

and…

Rico’s Nacho cheese with Mi Niña tortilla chips - low quality food but pretty satisfying.

I don’t like soft cheeses or anything too funky. I’ve had some expensive cheddar that I actually didn’t like.

Sounds pretty fancy to me.

I like cheese. I don't know much about cheese. I'll tell you if I like it after I taste it. I love me some charcuterie boards. I can also sit in front of the tv with a block of gouda and a knife and eat the whole thing so I tend not to buy those.

First time I had "dessert" cheese like pictured above was in Mexico at one of the resorts. They brought us out a huge piece of glass with one of everything on it and it included cheese with jams. Probably not something I would have ever ordered on my own since it did not sound appealing to me, but I love it now.

I tried halloumi (Cypriot cheese made of a mix of goat and sheep milk) last week at a Greek-Cypriot friends over dinner. She cut them into slices like fries. Delicious. A little bit of salty taste. Little chewy. Flavorsome!

I don't think all cheese leads to gas necessarily - but unquestionably the powdered variety does

Love a nice aged sharp cheddar and any other aged cheese for that matter
