2018 GS350 Fsport and 2021 A5 Sportback S-line. Both seem to be fully loaded

My thoughts.....well I like both, Lexus rides smoother and has adjustable sport suspension, S-line has fixed sport suspension but it's also pretty comfortable. I was surprised Audi doesn't have direct TPMS, only the one that relies on ABS etc (same as my long gone 2002 M3). I am so used to seeing exact PSI in each tire.....it sucks that it's not there anymore. GS is alot bigger and has a HUGE trunk but seats don't fold. Audi is smaller and less comfortable, but due to hatchback you can easily drop seats and fit alot of stuff inside (4 19 inch wheels+tires no problem at all) Audi tech is better of course, has 360 cameras etc, but I am still shocked that it's lacking alot of small features that even Lexus has. I am planning to do some coding on Audi to make it easier to live with.
Going to dealer for a recall on Audi, I heard they update MMI system to new software free, suppose to get wireless Android Auto and maybe some another features

Of course S5 and RS5 are better, but I figured for a daily driver family car, and at my age I would stick with A5 and save money on fuel (can always buy JB4 later). PS it's the first car I debadged, looks cleaner like that

Also previous owner of Lexus had some major heating/cooling issues. They ended up replacing some motors, controls, and modules. Works fine now, but still. Right now another vacuum pump seems noisy but dealer said it's fine like that. So I wouldn't be surprised if Audi ends up being more reliable.....

I’ve had the same AC issues with the HVAC in my LC. There was a batch of bad HVAC blend door actuators around that time that would stop switching air flow. I had them replace most of them, and it was under warranty.

Lol. I like it more than current grill on BMWs. I'd buy GSF for myself if they were available

Is the A5 Quattro?

Otherwise, its a FWD car which for me is a no go at this price point.

The Lexus is RWD but it's a dinosaur from all aspects of tech, engine, tranny etc.

Audi is Quattro of course, I am not even sure they make FWD A5 Sportbacks. Lexus is AWD as well

As far as tech.....I don't know. I guess I am not tech guy. Audi is nicer of course, but I only use Android Auto. For like $500-700 you can buy module for Lexus to support Android Auto or the full Android OS, wife doesn't need it.

Like I said earlier, I am surprised Audi is missing a lot of tech that Lexus has. I was able to code some of the stuff back, but its still missing tire pressure monitors and traffic sign recognition....Lexus has all that stuff.

Engine and tranny, 4-cyl turbo with DSG vs v6 with 6-speed auto. That V6 sounds really nice but the car is heavy and 6-speed slows it down more. The big difference is the fuel economy, while both as equally fast, Lexus is like 20mpg and A5 is probably around 30mpg, maybe closer to 35mpg on highway due to 7th gear. < just my guess, I haven't measured yet.

Oh I forgot, A5 has 360 cameras which are useful when parking

i think you made the right decision... honestly a little bit surprised at all of the things the Lexus already had replaced
