Another reason to stay away from Chevy since their 4-cyl Malibu does not get 26 mpg hwy...

My aunt drove to Alabama in her Vette, cruise control set at 75mph she got 29mpg.

It's all about whose driving and how they're driving.

Why do you want a Vette if you drive 75 MPH? How old is your Aunt?

lol, sadly it is an auto. I don't know what it is about my aunt and uncle. They've owned several Camaro's and Corvettes....all autos. They never give me a real answer as to why.

No, it is a standard Hydra-Matic 6L80( a stronger version of the transmission that is found in the 328i).

The Z06 and ZR1 are sticks only. The regular LS2/LS3 powered 'Vettes are the only one that has an automatic as an option.

I've said it before, I've gotten 27mpg with my C6 Z06 on the highway. The car was making about 540hp at the time with an CAI and exhaust.
Also, this whole 4.0 liter and 5.0 liter in the M cars making more HP/liter BS - who cares about hp/liter? The fact of the matter is the vette engines with the "antiquated" pushrod technology and larger displacement make the same (or a little more) hp AND are more efficient (they get better fuel mileage).
So what does all that DOHC technology get you in the end? More parts and more weight.
The reason why GM chose to stick with the pushrod technology is due to packaging. The DOHC engine used in the C4 ZR-1 was much larger than the current engines used. Aerodynamics are affected by the larger engine due to the fact that you cannot put the engine physically low enough in the chassis to achieve proper lines for the body to reduce aero drag - that's why they went this route.
I'll say it again - take a REAL ride in a new Corvette on a track and you'll see it's a sports car, not a sports sedan or coupe.

Anyone who thinks this hasn't been paying attention. A simple look at the current 'Ring times is all anyone without fanboy goggles should need to make an informed assessment.

7:22.1 2009 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR
7:24.3 Maserati MC12 Marc Basseng
7:24.7 Pagani Zonda F Clubsport
7:25.3 Ferrari Enzo Marc Basseng
7:26.4 2009 Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 base specification car with stock tires
7:27.82 Pagani Zonda F Clubsport Marc Basseng
7:28 Porsche Carrera GT
7:29 2009 Nissan GT-R
7:32.02 2008 Porsche 911 GT2
7:33.6 Koenigsegg CCX
7:34 Koenigsegg CCR
7:34 Porsche 911 GT2
7:35 Ruf Rt 12
7:38 Porsche 911 Turbo
7:39 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
7:40 Bugatti Veyron
7:40 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
7:40 Lamborghini Murcielago
7:40.6 Ford GT Markus Draper
7:42 Porsche 911 GT3

I don't see any BMWs on the list but I do see TWO Vettes.

It will out-corner any BMW currently made. I don't think it's fair to call it a straight line car, or overpriced. It's the equal of most cars twice its price.

Are you in search of real online typing jobs from home, but can't tell the real opportunities from the scams? You're not alone. With the thousands of online scams, it's really hard to decide what may be a viable option for you. Here is some information about typing and data entry jobs, and some options you may want to consider.

First of all, if you come across a site that wants your money but has no way to contact the company or doesn't offer a money back guarantee, run the other way. A reliable company that offers genuine online typing jobs will have contact information and an iron clad guarantee.

Typing jobs from home can include many different options. Freelance writing is one method of making money online by doing typing or data entry work. You can make money simply by typing articles and other content for webmasters who don't want to do it themselves. They would rather pay you, and the pay is usually very lucrative.

Other methods of online typing jobs you may like are online surveys. These are so easy to do, and you can actually make $25 per hour and more by simply giving your opinion. While this kind of data entry work is redundant to me, many people enjoy doing something so simple that can add extra money to their income.

What you are probably looking for is actual typing jobs from home, where you make money typing for an employer. Though these types of positions are more difficult to find, there are a few sites where you can pay a small membership fee for access to a huge database of companies who need employees to do typing and data entry work for them.

Online ad placement is another way to make money by typing online. You place ads for big companies, and when someone makes a purchase from an ad you placed, you get paid a large commission. This is one of the most popular typing jobs online, and many people make thousands per month doing ad placement.

I hate it when BMW fanboys talk crap about vettes. the interiors crap.....GM is a shit company.........its just a powerful engine.......... these are amazing cars. even if they dont have the BMW logo on them.
I agree a 100%, but maybe its just me... if I pay big $$$ for a car, I want it to look and feel the part. The Corvette is all business. Good, but I would like to see an improved cabin and a better shape. I LOVE the pre C-4 vettes.. specially the ones from the 50s and 60s. Those were the kings of the roads. Looked better than anything that came from Japan or Europe. Someone in the design department needs to crank up a winner... or its a no go. People in this day and age are used to expecting a lot and the corvette just does not make me feel special....
