Why can't BMW offer paint like this?

Good lord! Tonight I was at International Plaza in Tampa and coming down the escalator I noticed a car that was so shiny I just had to check it out regardless of what brand or model it might have been. Turns out it was a Lexus ES350 in Royal Ruby Metallic. I swear I have never seen a car shine like that. The paint was just wicked! If you see one in Royal Ruby under good lighting you will know what I'm talking about. I searched the web and couldn't find anything that really shows the color's gloss but here is the car:

Please BMW! Offer the E92 M3 in Royal Ruby Metallic and I will love you forever.

Lexus has some amazing colors. My next door neighbor has the IS250 in some sort of Arctic White Mica thingy... very translucent and perlescent. I have another neighbor with a big Lexus in the color you've shown above... it is pretty.

Here's another shot, but this doesn't even do 1% of the justice this color deserves. I'm telling you guys, the shine was better than any black BMW that's been freshly Zaino'd that I have ever seen. I wanted to rip the paint off the car and magically apply it to my 330i!

On a similar note, why does BMW charge an additional $500 for exterior colors except for three (black, white and red)? Other manufacturers offer metallic paint as standard, and maybe charge extra for 2-3 special colors. Classic BMW nickel and diming

yeah Lexus' paint is slick especially on the higher-end models. But what's more impressive is the leather quality, its so buttery smooth.

God yes! I want that car. Oh wait, I've already got it in my driveway. Except, it's not that color!

I'm in love with that color but I still love SG.

Thanks for the photoshop image though!

I'm sorry but "cheap." And E90 cannot be in the same sentence. It's physically impossible.

I agree with some posts above, the Bimmer has (after Infiniti and Hyundai) the worst red color...just plain red. Audi, even Honda's red is much better. Darker and deeper...
I am talking about 3er...

If that is Electric Red...it is just the angle that shows it nicely, otherwise...plain red.

It's a German thing I guess. Mercedes does the same thing.

I really like that red!!! I think that BMW reds have always... lacked in lustfulness...

Electric Red was far too plain, and the Barrique and Indiannapolis Red were far too maroonish.

Crimson is getting there, but I would still like to have it a shade darker, and a metallic color. Metallic reds look great, and I dont understand why BMW chooses not to make them on most of their models...
