What mods to do...?

On Tuesday I will be officially purchasing a 1997 540i 6spd... I have no clue where to start on mods...

What is the most useful or necessary mod for this car...?

I am a little clueless... as I have only been in the E9x world.

I will drop it before bimmerfest... have a lot of mods to do on both cars before then. The car has aftermarket mufflers, so the car is pretty loud, it also has the m5 bumper... the wheels will def need replacing... but i may put the wheels i have on my e92 on the e39 and buy new wheels for the e92...

Decisions, decisions.

That should look good. What are you getting for the E92? Maybe my TE37s

If you're going to swap the wheels fromm you e92 to the e39 you will need either hub adapters or to have the hub centers bored. The e92 has a 72.6mm center and the e39 has a 74.1mm.
