Key dead

Hi I have a 2020 840D, the display key has went completely dead. Iv tried charging in the wireless tray and also using the charging port on the side of the key but notting.
Any help appreciated.
Ps. The key hasn’t been used since new and was kept as a spare. Thanks

I had the same issue with a spare X5 key, I went to the dealer with no success , he wanted €500 for a replacement key.

Probably only the battery is dead. You can replace it.

This is the key type, any instructions how to change the battery ?

At the bottom of the key, there is a slot. Get plastic or softwood pick in there and twist to pry open rear cover. Battery can be accessed when rear cover is removed. New battery p/n 66129442977.
