Alexa and a Spotify not working

Last time I drove my car, two weeks ago, Alexa and Spotify worked perfectly. Today neither work. I have the Alexa app in the app section, in the car, Spotify is missing, not sure if there was even a Spotify app?

Anyone have issues lately?

Same here. I called the BMW assist from the car menu and they said they’re experiencing an outage with no ETA when things will be working again. Mine hasn’t worked since Tuesday so it’s interesting this outage is now 2+ days. Glad to hear it’s not an issue with my car.

Same here, outtage for past 4 days, Spotify will not load, and carplay barely works. I think it was a bad software update or something.

Yeah crazy, how can the stuff be down for 4 days?! Still nothing works, and haven’t installed any updates. Specifically for this reason, the OS seems stable so why mess with it. This is frustrating since I just paid for 1 year of services (first 4 years free just expired). Someone at BMW needs to wake up and fix this ASAP!

why is no one else posting about this? folks must not use spotify?

This is pure junk service from BMW. Make us pay for the native Spotify app and then provide a broken product

As of last night, around 10pm Pacific, stuff was restored. (At least for me) the outage lasted since Tuesday morning, that’s 5 days of no service. Pretty crazy in this day and age, especially if BMW pretends to be a “technology” company..
