Will 335i ZSP springs fit 328xi?
Just want to find out if a set of e92 335i ZSP sport springs will work on an e90 328xi??
Should be fine right? Thanks.

Just picked up my 325xi after installing 335i Zsp springs and Bilstein B6s. Rear since wonderfully, but the front is actually raised! Its pouring rain out with a tornado warning, so I don't have measurements yet, but I can say with certainty the front is raised with just the fingers-between-the-fender-gap test. I'm hoping it will settle out, but I can't see it settling enough to be even or even lowered. Others have installed 330 Zsps and had pretty even drops, so I'm not sure what the deal is here...
EDIT: After measuring, front sits at 26 7/8", so raised 1 full inch. WTF??? I'm going to put a few hundred miles on it before I buy Eibachs, but... I really don't see how Zsp springs could possibly raise an xi. Thoughts? Last edited by qwertyb22; 10-03-2009 at 05:09 PM.. |

I'm assuming the front springs for a 335i is for the 335i's weight, so that means if you used the front spring on a lighter weight car (328) it'll cause the car to sit higher..

I thought of that, actually. Before I bought them, I checked the weights. there is only a 4kg difference in a 335i and 325xi, but I guess the springs are different enough to be noticeable...

Can anyone else clarify the effect of 335i ZSP springs on 328xi
I am in the same boat...I have an e91 328xi Steptronic and about to install front zsp springs from a 335i automatic (spring code: D7). I want to lower the fronts but from what I have searched it will increase the ride height when tried on a 328xi because of the weight difference of the engines. That said, is the drivetrain for the AWD unsprung or sprung weight?
Although the 328xi steptronic wagon is heavier than the e90 335i steptronic, most of the weight difference is in the rear. I believe I have that problem solved by installing E93 ZSP rear springs (spring code: D8). But it is the fronts I am more concerned about since I want the drop to be even. Has anyone else had experience installing 335i ZSP springs (spring code: D7) with a 328xi Steptronic? I am getting the install done next week and hoping to have an answer before then. The ZSP springs will be mated to Bilstein HDs. Thanks |
