Cool Help me decide between watches

Hey folks, I want to gauge your opinions in buying a watch. I've narrowed it down to the following:

Choice #1: Maurice Lacroix Miros Sport Chronograph

I dont know much about this brand and there seems to be a HUGE difference in prices for different models. Does anyone own, or know anything about this watch/brand??

Choice #2: Tag Heuer F1

Choice #3: Tag Heuer Carrera

The only downside on the Carrera is that its on eBay, otherwise a new one is out of my budget!!

Also do you think that any retailers of higher end watches lower prices on black friday?!?! It seems like there are good deals on the net but I'd prefer buying from a store.

None of the three. First one reminds me of a Timex chronograph. Second one is way too busy like a Christmas ornament - you should go with the non Chronograph Tag F1. The third tag is a too old school. The Chronograph buttons design is a time bomb waiting to explode - you get tangled from a string or hit an object and it will break off.

Can you offer some of your choices?

Honestly, I was going to spend several grand for a watch for myself, but after listening to other e90post users who told me not to.... it has been the best decision ever!

I bought a new watch and I love it. It has been a downgrade from my almost 10 year old Victorinox Swiss Army watch but now I'm wearing a 50 dollar Timex digital watch. I took it to the Grand Canyon at extreme heat during the summer and it still kept accurate time.

These days, watches don't mean much.... a fancy cellphone will impress people way way more.

if watches are your thing, and if your buying it for pure personal purposes then i dont mind chiming in. I would personally go for the Carrera. Now a days watches, nor as a matter of fact anything can genuinely mean someone has a big bank balance.

You can buy inexpensive high quality replicas that look exactly like the real thing. When I see someone with an expensive looking watch, I will always assume that it's fake.

#3 is a big watch and the strap is crap! Big old school designed watches are tacky in my opinion.

I just want a nice looking watch. I dont want a Rolex because of its image, and I've always wanted a Tag so thats why you see the 2 in my list.

power to you. Most important of all, choose one that suits your needs and the one that you like best. I bet you already knew that but just my two cents.

Yeh.. I am gonna hit up Square One and Yorkdale tomorow to see what the prices are like up here. I have a feeling that I can get it through the interweb from the states for 20-40% discount.
