Does Dynamic Drive(Active Roll Stabilization) really work?

I have seen some BMWs on YouTube that corner so flat. Is ARS responsible for that or is it because of the sport suspension? Does ARS really work? Does it also work with the air suspension of the new 750Li?

I would love to see vids...

Yeah, it makes huge difference. Our 6er corners extremely well given its ride and weight. You can find vids of cars with/without ARS for comparison.

^^^
Here's an unfair comparison where they fit the S550 with ARS but they skimp on the option for the 750li. Why? I don't know. The 7er would most likely out handle the S if they checked that option. You can clearly see the difference it makes.

^^^
You don't see any slalom work here, but watch it cornering through the canyon and circling the skid pad. It's much flatter.

It works. Had it on the old X5 and have it on the 750i. It's really amazing how well each of those cars can take a corner. Sport suspension is certainly one of the reasons why these cars handle so well, but ARS is awesome.

Does ASR make a difference with air suspensions?

Got the opportunity to drive two X5s, one with and one without.

Yes the system does work, but the actual improvement in cornering speed is not that great. It seems to work best of slaloms were the constant changing of direction affect the car the most.

The brother was considering adding it to his X6 was ordering but after driving both X5s we equally decided that the money would have been better spent else where.

Basically it gives the feel of a sportscar from a heavy off roader but off the track the differences in actual performance are small.
