The point of the test was to prove that Tesla Cybertruck is heavy. LOL


I love Jason's video on the towing capacity of the Cybertruck as well.

Tesla Model X can only tow 65 miles on a full charge at load capacity. How is the Cybertruck going to pull 14K pounds and be useful on a 500 miles camping trip?

Plus, pedestrians have to be taking into account. Not sure how a stainless steel vehicle with sharp corners will pass.

The only difference would be that in a normal Tesla crash only one battery catches on fire for hours, then again in a week's time when it is at the tow yard. With two of them crashing together you'll have twice as many batteries on fire.

Elon musk originally designed this for SpaceX use on the moon. It was supposed to be a lunar vehicle. Hence the design.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Another thing is that this new EV from Tesla will get the new Tesla's 4680-type cylindrical cells right from the start, which means that the manufacturer will need a lot of them to provide long-range of up to 500+ miles (for example, 100,000 units times 200 kWh would be 20 GWh).

Below we attached the initial specs of the Tesla Cybertruck, but it might be different in the production version, especially since it's not listed on the manufacturer's website anymore.
