BMW Individual Niederlassung visit...
On my way over to the Sleep Over event at the BMW Museum last weekend... I decided to pay a visit to the BMW Individual Niederlassung(factory run dealership) on Frankfurter Ring... I think you guys will approve. Dack First stop for me, when visiting Munich is actually to drive past ///M HQ in Garching... that day I was lucky as the front gate was left open! It was like they knew I was coming over. As you look inside the gate... the famous ///M Studio is there - along with some "zebra" test mules.... And now the factory Niederlassung... I wonder how THIS happened... almost every car is an Individual spec...

I am in between the Munich and Stuttgart Niederlassung for location. I have to travel to Stuttgart on occasion and the presentation is nice there as well. The Munich location is superb.
I will attempt a visit the next time we attend an event in Munich or Welt with a friend for delivery. Excellent post Dack! |

Nice place, but to drive M car in Germany you had to be rich person. Every time I go to Germany to visit my Wife's family I got shocked to see what they are paying for their cars. Basically you can buy M car in U.S for cost of 335D in Germany. We are so lucky here!

Thanks as always for taking us along!
I so wish the cloth/alcantara interior in the white 2 series was offered in the US. Anyone know why it is not? Maybe it would steal too many leather sales away. Oh, and I also DEMAND that the 5 series touring be sold in the US. Wait..."sleep-over party at the BMW Museum"?? Do tell...

Imagine that but... add a 15-32% base price (fuel consumption/emissions tax) and a MONTHLY engine tax (based on hp) which is higher than what a german has to pay for a year - and you got Austrian prizes... But if you are a 9 million population country - BUT your politicians have to earn more than their american or german colleagues... you gotta rip your hard working citizens off a little more! |

Excellent report as always, thanks Dackel.
I had my 1200 mile service done at this dealership and by the time I was done touring the showroom, buying few things and grabbing a snack, my car was ready.

Being very generous with the estimate of additional sales a G31 540iX/540dX would need to bring to market at minimal loss (1500 per year for 6 years) and do so without cannibalizing any other internal product would put the additional cost to bring the cars to market at just over $14,000 PER car including the typical discount.
