Stellantis charged by U.S. in dieselgate

Dieselgate, the gift that keeps on giving. Stellantis now charged for Ram pickups with diesels. Bosch is the common thread in the VW and Daimler vehicles, it will be interesting to see if Bosch engineered and supplied diesel technology to Stellantis’ Ram trucks, or to Cummins’ engines.

I don't think it's specifically Bosch. BMW also uses a lot of Bosch ecu's in their diesels and was hardly hit by dieselgate.
In the end it's the decision of the brand's managers that makes the fraude happening.

BMW got fined about € 8,5million for a technical flaw in about 8000 cars, but that is pocketmoney for a big car manufacturer (VAG got fined 1,8 billion and total civil paybacks (mainly in the US) included summed up to 9,8 billion... ouch)

So don't read it. Nobody compels you to. The subject title is very clear.

I think your reaction is an insult to the effort of the OP.
Your reaction doesn't contribute in any way to this topic.

"Deceived customers"...lol. Like any of those customers give a flying f*ck how much their diesel rig pollutes. No one shops diesel trucks by how much one pollutes over the other.

I get to read anything I want and comment on it. It's an open Forum.

yes and you can be disrespectful too all day towards people who add information to this forum...
With that you become the epiphany of your own reaction.

True, but they start giving a f*ck the moment the court decides to compel Stellantis to offer to buy back those vehicles at original retail price like what happened with VW
I wonder if that makes buying a used truck a good investment

I said the topic is boring. I didn't say one thing to disrespect the OP, I didn't even mention him in my post. Relax.

But they would shop by power and torque if all else was equal, right?

But all else isn't equal, because someone is cheating.

I stated this in another thread but despite a high post count, I don't think that poster is very good at this whole internet forum thing.
