After watching son's baseball game we head over to a TGIFriday's for dinner. "Do you want to sit in the bar or the main restaurant?" I llok up and the game is on so I quickly say Bar.

Literally as I put my ass on the seat, game over. WTF???

St. Louis looked flat as can be tonight...a tired effort all around. they looked alright early, and maybe 1 other time the entire game. cigar smoker for the Sharks tonight. I bet that one makes you feel good, eh J?

btw...Hitchcock pulling the goalie (again) with 30 seconds remaining, while on a PK just to get back to even strength, and down by 3 goals?! are they trying to get scored on again? the only reason I can see it justified is for the hopes of maybe breaking their scoreless streak and disrupting the shutout...

Love it! Only had the NHL feed tonight but can tell that the Blues just don't know what to do with the Sharks. The Sharks are not only beating the Blues at their game but then playing the Shark game as well.

Was talking to a friend today about this years team and why they are showing promise is they have yet to choke in any game. Previous teams would have a great game then a terrible one...this year some of the games have been less stellar but they are showing depth and consistency even during the games they lose. It's almost like they are getting stronger as the playoffs progress. So, right now....

Hitchcock needs to come up with a better plan...cause the one he's currently got sure ain't working. Series should be 3-0...and he was right, they're lucky to have the one win.

Hard to see this series going deep....

Yeah..problem for the Blues is, is that the Sharks are getting scoring from many places--the goals last night were from the kids...how can you defend against all the big guns when the kids and 4th liners are scoring too? Not to mention Jones is walling up real well.

Feeling a Sharks/Penguins matchup could be coming. Without Bishop Tampa is done.

Yeah - I knew not to fall into that trap. Your momentum is only as good as your last game. As Cooper said, nobody cares if your winning 4-0...or 4-3, it's the win.

Pens needed to wake up a little earlier than the 3rd period there. At least we got 1 down there...

I thought the Pens were going to make the big comeback--maybe they thought without Bishop this was going to be a cakewalk.

If the Sharks win tonight this will be the furthest they have gone in their 25-year history, just to put it in perspective to other teams.

pens needed to clean up their act little sooner last night. oh well...they can still pull it out in 6, although its a long shot. I'm still taking them to win the cup, anyway (sorry, J...lets go Sharks in the meantime!)

on a side note...what has gotten into Phil McDonalds Kessel!? maybe the whole team should join him scarfing down quarter pounders with cheese and super sized fries and a pepsi before games

Well that sucked. Only good thing--didn't watch any of it. Consolation: figured this series would go to 7 from the start...just hoping it isn't start of a Sharks choke.

Told you - nobody cares about momentum. Now those 8 periods of scoreless hockey mean crap.

I love playoff hockey

I couldn't help but think the same thing. I'm pretty pissed off that he was starting, and I'm not even a Pens fan (I just wanna see them win the series for financial gain ). If I were a Pens fan tho, I'd be throwing a fucking fit and probably would've tried to injure Fleury myself during intermission so that Murray could get back between the pipes

Murray's been solid, he's the future of the franchise. No idea what Sullivan was thinking putting in Fleury, who's coming off injury, hasn't played, and has never been consistent to begin with. That decision could have cost Pitt a chance at the cup.

I didn't see the game--question is, were any of the goals ones that Murray would have got? Doesn't matter if you have Rinne, Elliott or Roy..if the shot from a 2 on 1 and point blank. You guys are basically saying the Pens loss is due to the goalie. I'm still thinking the Pens should be up 2 goals at the end of the game no matter what. But, I didn't see it.

The 1st goal was really soft...terrible angle over his shoulder....the 3rd questionable too, fleury getting beat on a wrap around

I agree - go with what you got at this point. He let up a couple softies, including that OT winner.

I'd like to say 'stick a fork in em' but I'll go down with the ship first.

totally agree with all that...Fleury was coming from injury, hadn't played in over a month, and Murray was doing just fine, so there was no need to replace him. could very well cost them the series. and of course, as you mentioned, he is inconsistent, maybe one of the biggest choke artists in playoff history

Fleury looked sluggish on the wraparound to tie it late. OT was kinda soft, too. oh well, it is what it is, but the Pens have a mighty deep hole to dig themselves out of

Yeah liked that....Sharks pulled it out and I watched it...this is actually the type of game I thought all the games would be like..only concern was that Jones was a bit shaky..probably some carry-over from the last one. Sharks just need to come home and put on a big show and get him ready for the cup.

some great work by the sharks deep in the Blues zone to get control of that puck and stuff it in the back of the empty net there to go up by 2. hard work definitely paying some insurance dividends there
