Auto Image Resizer

Hey guys just wondering if you could install this mod:

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...+Image+Resizer

I run it on my car clubs forum and it works great ... its good as it keeps people from having to scroll and a lot of forums are starting to use it MBWorld for example uses it on their site.

Thanks!

Interesting, but why not just use the built in thumbnail option that vbulletin has. Maybee we can do that, but I still like seeing pics in their full res, then again I use a pretty high resolution monitor.. Anyone else have opinions on this ?

Mark you still can see the full size image... all you have to do it click on it The reason you would use this over the thubnail option is with the thumbnail you would have to save the image to your computer and then upload it to the site. 1) this will help eat up bandwidth for you and 2) it takes a lot of effort by the site user

If you want check out this page to see how it looks in use (I really needed to implement it on that site since it runs a fixed width style and the larger pics would break the layout):

Thats already available ... I think it can be changed in the Admin panel or there is a plugin that will take care of that.

With the standard vb thumbnailing option, the user doesnt have to do anything different then they already do, they just attach an image and vb automatically creates a thumbnail out of it. I dont see how this plugin is different from vb's standard except for the way it presents it on the post. And actually I dont like this plugin at all since it doesnt smooth the resized images at all (tho that might be an option to plug into GD/imagemagik)

This if for images that are posted using the [IMG] tag ... not anything attached. Thats the point. A lot of people post pics that are hosted on another site and are huge in size. This plug in resizes those images.
