What are some things that youre working on for this year?
Here are my top 3. 1. Start side business 2. Exercise more 3. Cook more (and eat healthier) - goal is to learn 2-3 recipes a month |

i've got the exercise thing down pretty good, so the next big thing to go after for me is trying to find a sustainable eating/nutrition plan. In 2017, I've tried a sugar detox, vegan, vegetarian, low carb/Paleo, etc...and crashed and burned with each of them. I think the key for me is moderation...but I have a hard time with that

2. Be open for surgery to fix it. 3. Admit finally that if on a bad day I can't walk my dogs for half a mile and on a good day less than ten, I need to fix my fucking ankle. 4. Fix the fucking ankle.

No shit. I've given birth without meds since those really scare me, somehow I don't like the idea of recovering from a surgery for weeks with my stubbornness.
Anyway, I did two 3km walks with my stupid dog today with the ankle taped up, and one 10km one with my idiot dog now in the evening and now I have the ankle in a bucket of snow. I'm not getting any younger so the option of slow and long recoveries is soon no more. It's getting easier again to ignore the pain and the cold weather means that with a cut off trousers the ankle stays cold while on a walk, and buying the good tape has helped but I'd rather run with the dorks again instead of spending an hour for a few km of asphalt.

Do your research first. Find the right person to do the job. My wife had severe over-pronation, found the right person, diligently followed the recovery plan. Today you can't tell it ever was wrong (with the small exception that one foot is a half size larger than the other).
Oh and pick the time of year that you prefer to sit with your leg elevated above your heart at least 20 hours per day, for 6 weeks. |
