Proof that the media can't be trusted
We took a trip to NYC a few weeks ago and our family / friends kept reiterating how dangerous the city was. Basically, we would be risking our lives just by taking the subway. Or random attacks of violence everywhere you look.
Well...we got there and were literally shocked at how clean and safe the city was. Took the subway multiple times. I see more homeless bums in Phoenix than I did the entire time in NYC. Saw a few schizos but nothing out of this world. California is in way worse shape than NYC...like not even close when you're talking about homeless and crazies out on the street. |

I live in NYC and am surprised at how people always describe it as a living hell-hole. My 14 year old daughter takes the subway to school every day by herself and has been since she was 12.
I visited San Francisco in February and we had a great time and did not find that to be the terrible place that many people say it is. |

Love NYC. I've walked around with an obvious camera backpack many, many times and never once felt threatened. Downtown Indianapolis was far worse for panhandlers than NYC.

I lived in Manhattan for eight years and the place is a dump. Saw tons or disgusting homeless people and drug addicts on the subway and streets all the time. West side and east side. Uptown and downtown.
Not to invalidate everyone’s personal experiences but am quite shocked to hear otherwise. I now live in LA which is also very bad. Can’t seem to avoid these kinds of towns! |

Yea don't trust anything you hear or see from main stream media.
There is anways a motive fueled by money, greed, and blackmail. I don't even trust them with a weather report. |

A blanket statement like that is really not the way to go. There are plenty of "mainstream" media sources that are trustworthy, cite their sources, have credible commentators and guests, etc. It is not hard to take a deeper dive and see who is trying to BS you and who is telling the truth.

Sure, but if you are really interested in the truth, you can ferret out the liars. Just need to cross-reference, do a minor amount of research and you can work it out. Once you know who is lying to you, cross em off your list!

It is a shithole, and any proclamation otherwise is extremely misconstrued! Just because you took the subway a few times and walked here or there isn't a testimony to the actual conditions. Law Enforcement under attack, undermanned and prosecutors not prosecuting crime, even felonies, have the miscreants celebrating daily! The closed storefronts, have you seen them!? They're there everywhere... Restaurants too... Need reservations to do even the most simple stuff like spontaneously deciding to go to a Museum! Prices are out of control, the Tip Culture, and more! Take the subway? Lol, you're out of your mind! City reminds me of the mid 70's... Not quite but real close! Crime stats are suppressed and or labeled in such a way to lend the appearance, for Tourism, that all things are better than they actually are! Did you stop by Times Square? Count the number of NYPD there? It's not by chance there's so many...
Met a bunch of couples when we were returning from Germany in December that were coming to NY. We asked them why (family, etc) and they said no, they were coming to see the Tree and NY for the Holiday. I laughed and asked them why??? Hahahaha! I can tell you, even being at the Main HBF terminal in Frankfurt was and is nothing compared to Penn Sta. or the Port Authority Bus Terminal... Try it on for size and then let us all know what you think of NY, because that's the true representation of what's there! NY is done... It's just that "It" and "Others" haven't realized it yet! You get mugged, assaulted, or worse, just know nothing is happening to those who commit the crime! NYC is prosecuting half the felonies, and even many of those are released with the promise they'll return for court, and about 1/3 actually do! That's it... And then the DA doesn't even pursue warrants on those who daily to appear! Yeah... NY NY! Grew up in NYC, lived in NY my whole life, up until this year as I've joined the tens of thousands vacating the State! Good Luck there! You'll need it! *Notice I did not mention the migrant issue, where there's tens of thousands now there, and more arriving daily. Hanging around, can't work, nothing engaging to do, given free $ by the city. Wait for the summer... That's going to be a powderkeg! |

This is what I'm talking about. Using keyword "migrants" shows your ass so fast. Turn off Fox News, it is bad for your health.
