Pressure Washer Talk
Finally, after waiting all year for this to be released, they started shipping about a week ago. Mine got delivered, today.
Active 2.0 Electric Pressure Washer. A real world 2.0GPM flow rating. Rated at 1,800 PSI, but for washing cars, that shouldnt matter. What we want is 1,000PSI, and over 2gpm of real world flow, not what the box says the pump is rated at. At $350 (US) this is going to be the best pressure washer, under $1,000. Open discussion for higher end pressure washers. I'm not talking about KÄRCHER, or RYOBI, or SunJoe. I mean Krānzle, Comet and AR Blue Clean AR-630, Active, etc.

Thank you for this post!
I've been wanting to upgrade from my 4 year old electric Ryobi, 1700 psi, 1.2 gpm. Just need to figure out how to give my wife hints before Christmas… |

I didn't get it until later in the day. It was already too hot to wash cars. I'll be using it in the morning. I'll definitely report back. Small and mighty. Over 2gpm, it's powerful. 5 piston axial pump. It's the shit.

Been eyeing one of these as well. Only problem I have with my Comet is that it’s loud as f. Hopefully this is a bit quieter, otherwise I guess it’s Kranzle time

I tried sun joe, ryobi, karcher, and active (VE52) pressure washers which all died or had severe issues within two months. I finally just waited it out and got a Kranzle and after 3 months of use so far I am very happy with it.
The Kranzle is built like a tank with replaceable parts, and is also significantly quieter than the other options. My .02, skip the ones made in China and go straight to Kranzle. |

The wheels take the longest time. I tried pressure washers before and not much luck. How strong can you go with the pressure without ruining the rims.

It doesn't have enough power to take the paint off the rims with a 40° nozzle. And it's more about gallons per minute that actually does the cleaning work. You can run this thing at 700psi by changing the nozzle size and it has so much car pressure washing powers, the extra water flow, will feel stronger than if the pump was running at 1,200 psi. To change pressure you change the nozzles. Nozzles go from about 2.0 to about 7.0 orifice size. The unit comes with a 3.7 orifice nozzle, which supposedly rates the machine at 1,800 psi at 1.8 gallons per minute. Bump the nozzle orifice size to a 5.0 or a 6.0 and you get down to 1,200 and 1,050 psi. But at 2.1gpm and 2.3gpm. Less pressure more water flow. The pressure isn't blasting the dirt off as much as the gallons per minute are doing more cleaning at a higher gpm rate. Putting a higher gpm nozzle on the pressure washer. Also lowers the amperage draw and makes the motor work less, which in turn, makes it last longer.

Love my kranzle. I bought the kit from obsessed garage. I signed up for their membership which made it cheaper with the discount. Totally worth it.

This is literally half the reason I opted for CCBs.
Once you've had them it's hard to ever go back to steel.

Kranzle every time. Brass lumps make them heavy but they are bomb proof. Anti tangle hose, short trigger with quick release attachments, job done.

I also recommend putting one of these on the supply hose.
