Red face Hi line brakelight issues

I have changed the hi line brake light socket as it had melted and the bulb had fused to it. Was fine for a bit and then started getting the warning light on the dash on and off. Kept checking it was fine then would light up again. The light worked intermittently but now doesn't work at all. Done the obvious and changed the bulb and no joy. I want to check the fuse but am a bit confused as to whether each brake light has a separate fuse or are they all on one fuse?
Many thanks
