Upcoming Lunar Eclipse

I was outside on the roof of a tall building on our campus for the last lunar eclipse. I won't be doing that for this one on Sunday night. It looks like it'll be clear here, but with the ambient temp at full eclipse of -1F with a 10MPH wind. Brrr. I may grab a few shots, but no time lapses like I did last time. I'll have to set my gear up in my garage ahead of time so the camera acclimates. At least I have the next day off, so staying up that late won't be an issue.

Not luck tonight. It's clear here, but 10F with a 14MPH wind. Wind chill is below zero. My fingers were painfully numb in just a few minutes just setting up. Plus the moon is nearly straight overhead, so the tripod setup wasn't working out well. I couldn't swing the rig to a nearly vertical position with the gear I have. Bummer.

Nice images. Between the finish of the AFC game, the 30 degree temperature and an early call time, I didn't make it to prime time. I couldn't believe how much brighter the Moon was last night.
